Browns Pool (Post Code: TN8 6QU / GB Grid Ref: TQ 423 488)
Situated near Edenbridge, this is a small, attractive mixed fishery just over half an acre in size, with depths up to approximately 4 feet. The water is screened by trees on one side and has two small islands in the middle. It contains bream, tench, rudd, perch and crucian carp. Being a more traditionally-minded club, we have deliberately kept this water free of the usual common and mirror carp. The tench and perch in particular grow to specimen size. There are convenient fishing platforms all round the lake. Browns is an ideal place for young, budding anglers to learn the basics of stillwater float fishing, and at the same time somewhere the older, more experienced angler can enjoy a peaceful day's sport. Cars can be parked, with care, at the roadside, on the grass verges near to the venue.
Fishing is not permitted during the Coarse Fishing Closed season from 15 March to 15 June each year.
